Frequently Asked Questions

What is My Bible Log?

My Bible Log is a free online Bible reading tracker that helps you track what you’ve read and when you read it. Instead of following a predefined reading plan, you log your actual Bible reading and see your progress over time.

Is My Bible Log free?

Yes. My Bible Log is completely free to use.

  • No ads
  • No subscriptions
  • No paid features

You can sign up with your email address or use Google sign-in to get started.

Do I have to follow a Bible reading plan?

No. My Bible Log does not assign reading plans or schedules.

You read the Bible however you choose—through sermons, devotionals, personal study, or other resources—and log what you’ve read. As long as you’re reading new verses, all of it counts toward your progress.

Can My Bible Log help me read the Bible in a year?

Yes. One of the main goals of My Bible Log is to help people read the entire Bible.

  • The Bible contains 31,102 verses
  • Reading an average of 86 new verses per day allows you to finish in one year
  • You can read more on some days and less on others—it all balances out over time

My Bible Log tracks your pace and helps you stay aware of how close you are to your goal.

How do daily reading goals work?

You can set a daily goal based on how many new verses you want to read each day.

Each time you log reading, My Bible Log updates your progress toward that goal. Days where you meet your goal are marked with a gold star on your reading calendar.

Can I set a target date to finish the Bible?

Yes. You can choose a date when you want to finish reading the Bible.

My Bible Log will automatically calculate how many verses you need to read each day to reach that goal by your chosen date.

What are reading suggestions?

Reading suggestions help you decide what to read next.

Suggestions are based on:

  • What you’ve already logged
  • Which chapters you haven’t read yet
  • Your recent reading activity

They make it easy to keep moving through the Bible without needing a formal plan.

How do I log my Bible reading?

Logging is designed to be quick and simple.

You can:

  • Select a book, chapter, and verse range
  • Log entire chapters
  • Mark chapters as read with a single click from the Chapter Checklist

Each log entry records what you read and when you read it.

Can I track progress by chapter and book?

Yes.

You can:

  • See which chapters you’ve read in each book
  • View progress bars for each book of the Bible
  • See your overall progress across the entire Bible

Chapters you’ve read are clearly marked so you can easily find unread sections.

Does My Bible Log include a Bible translation?
